I've taught drum students between the ages of 5 and 65
Each age group has different needs
Elementary students need more fun, can absorb techniques well from mimicking the instructor, and benefit more from parental guidance between lessons
Middle grades students and older can learn from abstract concepts and are generally better at self-guided practice between lessons

Lassiter High School Bands: performed in concert band, symphonic band, percussion ensemble, marching band: drumline, Bands of America National Champions
Georgia Tech Bands: performed in symphonic band, percussion ensemble, marching band: drumline (section leader), basketball pep band: drum set (mostly funk and rock classics)

30 minute in-home lesson: $33
45 minute in-home lesson: $42
First 30 minute trial lesson is free (no materials needed)
Beginners do not need drums- we'll use a practice pad
There are ways to practice drum set coordination without drums
Students can start with just drum sticks and a book
